Chicken Noodle Soup

This soup comes out so delicious. It may not actually cure anything, but it makes my tummy feel great!


1 rotisserie chicken from store deli

1/2 bag of wide egg noodles

3-4 stalks of celery sliced

pkg of carrots cut in chunks (or you can slice)

1 pkg green bean (fresh or frozen — canned if you must)

Corn (frozen, fresh — again, canned (whole kernel) if you must)

1 large yellow onion cut in small chunks

2-3 boxes of chicken broth (use whatever brand, regular or low sodium, organic. etc.)


Get out the crock-pot (or just a big kettle if you don’t have one)

Take meat off the chicken

Put the chicken and all of the other ingredients except the noodles in the crockpot.

Turn on high (I always use high, but you can use low, it’ll just take longer)

Go about your business for a few hours.

Check for doneness of the vegetables. When they’re close to being done, add noodles.

Don’t over cook noodles.

Add a little water, if needed.

This goes really well with homemade biscuits or cornbread.
