This is a simple dessert to make, but it comes out yummy!
1 box yellow cake mix
2 boxes of instant banana pudding 5.9 oz
1 8 oz tub of whipped cream
Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour into a 9×13 pan and bake. When done, cool completely.
After cake has cooled, take a round wooden spoon handle (or something similar) and poke holes in the cake. Make sure you go all the way to the bottom.
Prepare pudding as directed. While the pudding is thickening but still pour-able, pour it on top of the cake making sure to get it into the holes.
Spread whipped topping over jello.
Immediately crumble vanilla wafers on top and gently push into pudding with back of spoon. Leave some of the cookies a bit chunky.
Put in refrigerator to finish setting . Cut and serve. You may garnish with sliced bananas if you like.
