Cinnamon Rolls

There’s nothing like smelling cinnamon rolls baking and then enjoying them with a hot cup of coffee and your favorite creamer. They look hard to make but they’re not. Don’t let ’em scare ya!

This is my favorite cinnamon roll recipe. This one I didn’t create, but why mess with a good thing?


1 quart whole milk
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 packages active dry yeast, 0.25 ounce packets
8 cups all-purpose flour + 1 cup
1 teaspoon (heaping) baking powder
1 teaspoon (scant) baking soda
1 tablespoon (heaping) salt
melted butter
2 cups brown Sugar

Buttermilk biscuits like mom used to make

Biscuits can go with just about anything, especially sausage gravy. You can also add different things to them to go with any meal.


2 cups self-rising flour ( if you don’t have this flour, use all-purpose flour but add , 2 teaspoons baking powder, and a dash of salt)

1/4 cup shortening (yes, I said shortening)

1 cup buttermilk

melted butter
