Red beans and rice is kinda of like gumbo; everyone has a different recipe. Some like theirs soupy, some like it dry. Whatever your preference, it’s total comfort food. Now it’s even easier with a crockpot.
This soup comes out so delicious. It may not actually cure anything, but it makes my tummy feel great!
1 rotisserie chicken from store deli
1/2 bag of wide egg noodles
3-4 stalks of celery sliced
pkg of carrots cut in chunks (or you can slice)
1 pkg green bean (fresh or frozen — canned if you must)
Corn (frozen, fresh — again, canned (whole kernel) if you must)
1 large yellow onion cut in small chunks
2-3 boxes of chicken broth (use whatever brand, regular or low sodium, organic. etc.)
